This 2,980 sq. ft. house design features a linear plan combination of kitchen, living, and dining areas in a vaulted living space with a branching, scissor-truss timber frame. The interior spaces feel airy and light as if beneath a wooded canopy. In plan, partition walls are kept to a minimum and floor space is maximized to allow adjacent spaces to flow together. A rhythmic series of windows and doors daylights the main living space and opens up to outdoor patios. This design is well suited as a vacation home, or also as a permanent home with an optional second floor bedroom added.
